Who is responsible

sean Mudgett is the data controller for personal data used to operate Yokai Fun. Paddle separately handles payment information under its own privacy notice.

Data and purposes

Your route, party, discoveries, catches, captures and generated stories are saved in your browser to resume the game. Sound preferences remain in memory only. Online AI requests send the response you type, route history and party discoveries to Lovable AI Gateway and its model provider to generate a story. Do not include personal or confidential information in prompts.

Gameplay events such as route choices, visits and battle outcomes, and technical information such as IP addresses, device/browser details and error logs may be processed by hosting and analytics services for reliability, security and game improvement. Optional purchase accounts use an account identifier, email, purchase receipts and upgrade-credit records to provide purchased access. Free gameplay does not require registration.

Legal bases and sharing

We rely on contract performance to provide requested game, story and purchase services; legitimate interests for security and service reliability; consent where required for optional analytics; and legal obligations for applicable records. Recipients include Lovable hosting, AI and analytics services, the model provider for requested stories, Paddle for sales, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing, professional advisers when needed, and authorities when legally required. Data may be processed outside your country with applicable safeguards required by law.

Retention and security

Browser journey records remain until you restart the journey or clear site data. Generated story records remain with that local save. Server and provider logs are kept according to their service retention settings; billing records may be retained for legal obligations. Data should be deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. We use appropriate technical and organisational protections, including encrypted transport and access controls, but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can clear browser site data and avoid online story requests. Depending on your location, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Browser storage and cookies

The game uses local storage for essential journey saves. Hosting, preview access and payments may use essential cookies. Gameplay analytics records game events; we do not intentionally add advertising cookies. You may manage cookies and storage in browser settings; blocking essential storage prevents automatic saving.
